By now you’ve noticed I really enjoy trekking. But! I didn’t always and I guess like all hobbies you have to start somewhere right?
8 months of planning, 3 months of training, 1 week of final nerves in disguise of a countdown. Here we go! Back in 2014, I took on the initiative to rally up a group of 5 other mildly nuts individuals to trek the Kokoda Track in PNG.
To be completely clear up front, the Jungle Trek and the iconic Inca Trail are two very different experiences.

In July 2015 I took a two month sabbatical from work to explore deepest darkest Peru, Ecuador and Colombia (yes, that’s a Paddington Bear reference and thanks for noticing).
Yep, I can be seen scaling boulders, ambulating from river to river and debouching onto open plains with the rest of em. Not only have I learn how to ‘pitch’ a tent, ‘stoke’ a fire and ‘dig’ my own rest room I’ve certainly got a taste for adventure and wilderness.
